  5. Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice if you want extra brightness.

Notes

Timing: Drink 30-60 minutes before bedtime for best results.
Be Patient: Effects may take 3-4 nights of consistent use. This is a gentle sleep aid, not a knockout drink.
Quality Matters: Use 100% pure tart cherry juice (Montmorency preferred), not cherry cocktail with added sugars.
Magnesium Type: Magnesium glycinate is best absorbed and gentle on digestion. Avoid magnesium oxide. Use 200-300mg.
Adjust Flavor: Too tart? Start with 1/4 cup juice and increase gradually. Add lime or mint for extra taste.
Best Fresh: Make right before drinking. Prep ahead by storing juice in fridge and pre-measuring magnesium.
Consult Your Doctor: Especially important if you take medications (sleep aids, blood thinners), have kidney issues, or are pregnant/nursing.
